EBLAST: December 14th, 2021 - #21-76

Hello Ontario Trainers,

Hard to believe we are less than two weeks away from Christmas! 2021 has been a blur and at times still difficult to keep up with how things moved back forth with all that was going on. To try and help keep you up to date here is your final Blast of this year. It is a little lighter but still has some great training information and opportunities. Enjoy……….

OFC LIVE FIRE TRAINING

The OFC is excited to announce the newly acquired Live fire training units are now available for scheduling. Please read the attachment if you are interested in making this available for your department.

· The Top Song was Say You, Say Me by Lionel Richie

· The Big Movies included Back to the Future, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rocky IV

· Price of 14 oz Hershey's Kisses in 1985: $2.39

· Created in 1985, 'New Coke' wasn't actually discontinued until 2002.

· Stanley cup champs were the Edmonton Oilers

But most importantly…………

John Uptegrove began his career with the Puslinch Volunteer Fire Department!

John was recently recognized by his community for his long-standing service and rightfully so. He has been a leader in our industry ever since and has made significant contributions to all facets of training throughout the province.

Please join the OAFTO Executive by not only congratulating John but also thanking him for his dedication and leadership to the fire service in Ontario.
